Our Story

KMR Accountants Ltd was established in Dundalk in 1941. Through a sharp focus on the needs of local businesses, KMR has grown to become one of the largest and most progressive independent accountancy and business advisory practices in Ireland.

Based in Dundalk, but serving the entire north-east region and beyond, our practice boasts a highly qualified and accomplished team of professional accountants and business advisors. Our ability to provide dedicated focused services of a specialised nature to any sized business is our defining strength.

Fran McArdle FCCA

Fran joined the firm as a Trainee Accountant in 1990. She gained ACCA membership in 1997 and assisted in the formal establishment of the Audit Department in the firm. She has over 20 years of experience in auditing across a range of industry sectors and preparing statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and auditing standards.

Fran has a strong focus within the practice of developing our team to ensure they deliver the highest quality audit and assurance services to our clients.

Donal McClean BBS

Donal advises a diverse range of Irish and multinational clients on all aspects of management accounting and tax compliance. His clients include Irish and multinational companies, privately owned groups, sole traders and high net worth individuals. He has extensive M&A experience, advising on various stages of growth including start-ups, company expansion, restructuring, acquisitions and mergers of Irish businesses.

Donal has vast experience across a wide range of sectors from construction and trades through to manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, agriculture, sports clubs and technology. He has a BBS in Business and Administration from Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Aoife McCumiskey BA FCCA

Aoife joined our practice in 2004 as an Accounting Graduate from DkIT. She became a fully qualified member of the ACCA in 2008 and was honored as a Fellow of the Association in 2013. With over twenty years of experience, Aoife manages one of our Accounts departments, serving a diverse clientele ranging from small sole traders to SMEs.

Aoife is integral to our operations, overseeing the preparation of management accounts, personal and corporate tax, business advisory services, payroll, and financial planning. Her commitment to fostering strong client relationships and her collaborative approach with colleagues ensure the delivery of our services to the highest standards.

Barry Mullen BA FCCA

Barry joined KMR as a trainee accountant in June 2000 after completing a BA in Accounting and Finance in DkIT and became a member of the ACCA in 2003.

He worked as part of the audit team within the firm until September 2016. Currently, Barry manages a number of clients across a wide range of sectors.

Susan Clarke BBS

Susan is the Office Manager within KMR after joining the company in 2012. She graduated from DkIT with an honours degree in Business Management & Administration.

Susan leads the administration team and ensures the smooth and efficient running of the office. Her main responsibilities include credit control, general bookkeeping and overseeing the day-to-day office needs.

Lisa Kennedy BSc FCCA

Lisa joined our firm in 2007 as a trainee auditor, following completion of her Degree in Business Management from TU Dublin. She qualified with ACCA in 2010 and then moved into an accounting role. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in payroll, tax, management accounts, audit and non-audit accounts, and compliance.

As a manager, Lisa leads a team that works with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Her expertise in the SME sector allows her to provide practical financial solutions and advice. Lisa’s leadership ensures that her team consistently delivers reliable and high-quality service to our clients.

Payroll Manager

Tiina Univer MIPA ACIPP

Tiina joined KMR at the start of 2019 when payroll changed to Real Time Reporting. She has her IPASS accreditation as well as a Diploma in Payroll Management and is a member of IPASS & CIPP.

She leads the payroll team where her main responsibilities are to liaise with clients and Revenue, ensuring that deadlines are met and the most up-to-date legislation is adhered to.

Co-Sec Manager

Stephen Porter ACG

Stephen is responsible for the company secretarial department at KMR, which provides a comprehensive company secretarial and company law compliance service to our clients including company incorporations, share capital restructuring, group reorganisations and dissolution of companies.

A qualified chartered secretary and a member of the Chartered Governance Institute, Stephen has experience in providing company secretarial advice and services to a significant portfolio of clients.
