John is practice management partner and is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm. He sits on the board of a number of private limited companies, acting as an executive director and financial consultant, including our associated financial services company, Cathedral Financial Consultants Ltd.

John is also a former member of ACCA’s Irish practitioners network panel.

Colm Reilly FCCA AITI CTA

Colm joined KMR in 1995 and became a partner in 2003. With nearly three decades of experience in the field, he is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Irish Institute of Taxation. Colm works closely with a diverse range of clients, from sole traders to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing tailored financial and tax advice.

In addition to his client-facing role, Colm is heavily involved with the KMR tax department. He has played a pivotal role in advising on numerous tax plans and restructures, ensuring clients receive optimal tax solutions. His extensive expertise and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to both his clients and the KMR team.

Gerard Watters FCCA

Since joining KMR in 1994, Gerard has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s client portfolio through his expert advice and strategic direction in corporate and business development. With a diverse client base that includes legal practices, food processing companies, haulage, construction firms, export businesses, waste management companies, as well as numerous sole traders, professionals, and individuals, Gerard’s comprehensive approach ensures tailored solutions for each client.

Additionally, Gerard serves as a director on the board of several companies, advising on strategic direction and showcasing his dedication to driving growth and delivering exceptional service. His commitment has made him a trusted advisor in the industry.

Neil is engaged in all aspects of general practice and has a flair for business development and consultancy.

His impressive record of consulting services includes finance proposals, budgeting and cash flow planning, taxation services, business valuations, and accounting and internal control system reviews.

Noel Reid BA FCCA AITI CTA

Noel joined KMR in 2004 after graduating from DkIT with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance.

He became a member of the ACCA in 2008 and then went onto become a member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland in 2011. Noel offers in depth advice in a wide variety of tax cases for many of our clients in all areas of tax.

James Maguire FCCA

James qualified with ACCA in 2003. He is responsible for the management needs of a variety of clients comprising of owner-managed family companies, sole traders and partnerships. He specialises in solicitor practices and their reporting requirements to the Law Society.

We have seen a significant growth in our Northern Ireland client base over the past number of years and James is responsible for ensuring their regulatory and tax requirements are dealt with.
